Hey, hey! It’s been a minute since I have posted anything on here… and once again, I’m back! Last time you heard from me I was in the process of moving back to Lubbock and now I am here! Lubbock has been good to me these past few months and honestly I am thankful. Though things have been good, they haven’t been the easiest.
It has been a season of change and adjusting.
It has been uncomfortable.
It has been challenging.
But it has been FUN.
I have enjoyed my new job, made new friends, started attending a new church and my favorite part is getting to see and hangout with Aaron practically every day. **insert heart eyes**
A lot of memories have been made in the few short months I have been back, so your girl was even more excited for what was in store for 2020.

One of my goals for the New Year was to try and post something at least once a month… if you haven’t noticed there was no post in January lol. Which brings me to the topic of febNEWary. If you are like me, you have this anticipation for a new you and a fresh start. You want to make changes and challenge yourself. You want to dream big and have a lot of goals. And sometimes trying to do all of the things you want right out of the gate just does not work. Whether it is that your goal is too time consuming, too demanding at the moment or maybe the funds just aren’t there at the time. Whatever it is, it is easy to get discouraged and just give up and become just another statistic of a failed new years resolution.
BUT, what if you just viewed January as your one month free trial? That way you can figure out how to fully incorporate and obtain your goals into your everyday life. You are able to see what works best for you and what doesn’t. There is even a good possibility that in the trail month that new dreams and goals are birthed. This concept was a game changer for me. It helped me feel less disappointed in myself if I did a horrible job at keeping up with the goals I set. For me, it works and maybe it will for you too!
As mentioned before, one of my goals it too blog once a month and that is one that after today, I plan on keeping. I really enjoy it, even if no one was to read it. Hopefully someone does though lol. Another goal that I finally started was to be healthier! This one might be my fave because Aaron and I are doing it together. So we are definitely keeping each other accountable, which I think is good for any goal you set. ACCOUNTABLILTY IS KEY. We are only three days in, but I think we are doing great! I mean, I have other goals too, but I won’t bore you with those today.

I am extremely excited and expectant of this year. I think it is going to be fun and that big dreams are going to be coming true. I’m just going with the flow and just working on living my best life every step of the way. Hope you enjoyed the small dose of new years encouragement.
Until next time…
~Em
